Loyal fans of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account contains clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to meet the cast of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, securing two for best costume and production design.
