The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings. Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The finalists were announced live on a national radio breakfast show. This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December. The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT. The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros. Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles. His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time. At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record. "Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August. Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament. Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player. "I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
