Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, as reported by.
